“I'm assuming that a repository of dreams would be stored in a text format. I think my first approach to working with text data is to generate a word cloud of the top N verbs/nouns after parsing the text data (It's a bit silly, but I think a word cloud is often more visually appealing than a CSV table).
Another thing I think would be an interesting experiment is to cluster and categorize dreams based on sentiment (this dives a bit into NLP). I'm almost certain dream recounts would prove to be a goldmine of sentiment values as most dreams are more fantastical in nature rather than mundane. Organization by cluster would allow for some basic graph and chart visualizations.
A more complex visualization like a graph would also be very cool to build and though I havn't thought it through, I would guess it would function as a graph data structure in the parsing of each dream.
If possible building an API that functions as a pipeline to send a person's dream into a AI art generator like MidJourney would probably be extremely interesting to see an artificial intelligence attempt to visualize the inner machinations of a slumbering biological intelligence.”
